# Report Vulnerabilities

powerIO takes reports of potential security vulnerabilities seriously. If you suspect a vulnerability in a powerIO product, please report it responsibly so we can investigate and fix it.

## How to report a vulnerability

Use the [contact form](https://www.powerio.com/de/kontakt) or write to <office@powerio.com>.

Please include, if possible:

* affected product and firmware version
* article number and serial number
* a description of the vulnerability and its possible impact
* the steps to reproduce it

{% hint style="info" %}
Please do not publicly disclose a reported vulnerability before it has been fixed, and give us reasonable time to analyze and correct it.
{% endhint %}

## What happens next

We will acknowledge receipt of your report, assess the matter, and inform you about the next steps. Security-related fixes are incorporated into the affected firmware or library versions and are made available via the [download area](/hub/downloads/en/powerio-downloads/t1.b100-firmware.md) provided.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.powerio.com/hub/security/security-en/operation/schwachstellen-melden.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
