Transparent

Transparent Mode

The Transparent Mode enables direct transmission of serial data over TCP/IP networks.

Configuration:

  • Each serial port is assigned a unique TCP port

  • Example: Serial Port 1 → TCP 7001, Serial Port 4 → TCP 7004

Advantages:

  • No special protocol conversion required

  • Direct integration into existing systems

  • Suitable for legacy devices with a serial interface

  • Enables remote access over the network

Selection for Serial Transparent Mode

  • The mode can be selected for each individual Serial Port. The selection is made under "Serial Settings" via the "Fieldbus" drop-down menu.
